6. Stock donation

You don't pay "Capital Gains" tax on the large appreciation, while deducting the full market value of the stock as donation in your IRS filing.

Starting Nov of 2023, our TDAmeritrade account has officially been transitioned into a Charles Schwab account, so the details below are new even to our previous stock donors.

How to donate stocks to 80-20 EF
